Tonight, Thursday evening, May 17, we count forty one days
Which is five weeks and six days of the Omer.
Day 41 - Yesod of Yesod: Bonding in BondingEvery person needs and has the capacity to bond with other people, with significant undertakings and with meaningful experiences. Do I have difficulty bonding? Is the difficulty in all areas or only in certain ones? Do I bond easily with my job, but have trouble bonding with people? Or vice versa? Examine the reasons for not bonding. Is it because I am too critical and find fault in everything as an excuse for not bonding? Am I too locked in my own ways? Every person needs and has the capacity to bond with other people, with significant undertakings and with meaningful experiences. Do I have difficulty bonding? Is the difficulty in all areas or only in certain ones? Do I bond easily with my job, but have trouble bonding with people? Or vice versa? Examine the reasons for not bonding. Is it because I am too critical and find fault in everything as an excuse for not bonding? Am I too locked in my own ways? Is my not bonding a result of discomfort with vulnerability? Have I been hurt in my past bonding experiences? Has my trust been abused? Is my fear of bonding a result of the deficient bonding I experienced as a child? To cultivate your capacity to bond, even if you have valid reasons to distrust, you must remember that G-d gave you a Divine soul that is nurturing and loving and you must learn to recognize the voice within, which will allow you to experience other people's souls and hearts. Then you can slowly drop your defenses when you recognize someone or something you can truly trust. One additional point: Bonding breeds bonding. When you bond in one area of your life, it helps you bond in other areas. Exercise for the day: Begin bonding with a new person or experience you love by committing designated time each day or week to spend together constructively. HOW TO COUNT THE OMER The Omer is counted at night, while standing, immediately following the evening prayer. You begin with the following Blessing:
Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d, King of the Universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer. Following Blessing you count the specific day of the Omer and recite the folowing prayer
May the Merciful One restore the Holy Temple to its place, speedily in our days; Amen.
For the Choirmaster; a song with instrumental music; a Psalm. May G-d be gracious to us and bless us; may He make His countenance shine upon us forever; that Your way be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations. The nations will extol You, O G-d; all the nations will extol You. The nations will rejoice and sing for joy, for You will judge the peoples justly and guide the nations on earth forever. The peoples will extol You, O G-d; all the peoples will extol You, for the earth will have yielded its produce and G-d; our G-d, will bless us. G-d will bless us; and all, from the farthest corners of the earth, shall fear Him.
We implore you, by the great power of Your right hand, release the captive. Accept the prayer of Your people; strengthen us, purify us, Awesome One. Mighty One, we beseech You, guard as the apple of the eye those who seek Your Oneness. Bless them, cleanse them; bestow upon them forever Your merciful righteousness. Powerful, Holy One, in Your abounding goodness, guide Your congregation. Only and Exalted One, turn to Your people who are mindful of Your holiness. Accept our supplication and hear our cry, You who knows secret thoughts. Blessed be the name of the glory of His kingdom forever and ever.
Master of the universe, You have commanded us through Moses Your servant to count Sefirat Ha-Omer, in order to purify us from our evil and uncleanness. As You have written in Your Torah, "You shall count for yourselves from the day following the day of rest, from the day on which you bring the Omer as a wave-offering; shall be for seven full weeks. Until the day following the seventh week shall you count fifty days," so that the souls of Your people Israel may be cleansed from their defilement. Therefore, may it be Your will, L-rd our G-d and G-d of our fathers, that in the merit of the Sefirat Ha-Omer which I counted today, the blemish that I have caused in the sefirah be rectified and I may be purified and sanctified with supernal holiness. May abundant bounty thereby be bestowed upon all the worlds. May it rectify our nefesh, ruach and neshamah from every baseness and defect, and may it purify and sanctify us with Your supernal holiness. Amen, selah. |

- On site, at any given time, are between 4,000 and 25,000 viewers. At the current growth rate these on-site numbers will grow to between 7,500 and 50,000 over the next 12 months.
- Weekdays average 35,000 videos-hits each week-day. At the current rate the daily numbers should cross 50,000 in the next 12 months.
- To date we have had more than 12,000,000 video-screenings-hits. Less than one million in year one, more than 5 million in year two, 7 Million in year 3. In year three, 10 million is a reasonable projection.
- More than 6000 confirmed members; under 700 in year one; 2200 in year 2, 3,600 in year 3. With current trends we should be close to 9,000 members by the end of year 4.

WHO CAN UPLOAD VIDEOS? Anyone who registers for an account on KosherTube can add and upload videos. WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR VIDEO CONTENT? Videos should impart something useful about traditional Jewish spirituality, values, and/or observance, and they should have an appropriate level of modesty. HOW WILL KOSHERTUBE MAKE SURE THE GUIDELINES ARE FOLLOWED? KosherTube staffers watch and vet every video before we flip the switch to make it viewable by the public. (After you upload a video you will not be able to view it until we complete this process. Please be patient.) All decisions on what will or will not be displayed are made with Kosher supervision from our Rabbinic advisors. This takes some time and effort but we think it's worth it. We hope you agree. We have no advertising or pop-ups. We want to avoid the irritation that comes with inappropriate advertising. In the future we may offer advertising for items that are consistent with our Kosher mandate, and within the standards called for by our Rabbinic Advisors.
